Activision has officially announced the beta dates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer. Early access to the beta will run from August 30 to September 4 on all platforms. Players who pre-order the game or subscribe to select Game Pass plans will be able to participate in this phase. Following that, an open beta for all players will take place from September 6 to 9.
The announcement was made during the first episode of the Official Call of Duty Podcast. This year marks a significant change, as the beta will be available simultaneously across all platforms, breaking away from the previous timed exclusivity on PlayStation.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25, 2024, and will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. Notably, it will be available on Game Pass from day one, depending on the subscription tier.
At launch, the game will feature 16 multiplayer maps, including 12 core 6v6 maps and four Strike maps playable in 2v2 or 6v6 modes. Additionally, Black Ops 6 will see the return of round-based Zombies with two new maps.
Activision plans a full multiplayer reveal at the Call of Duty Next event on August 28. The game will require a persistent internet connection for all modes, including the campaign.
