Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader drops this week and developer Owlcat Games wants to make sure that those planning to take on the titular role as a Rogue Trader are adequately prepared for the combat encounters awaiting them. There are, after all, a wide array of approaches players can take when facing off against the opposition.
Owlcat Games has put this tactical diversity on display in their turn-based action-RPG with an all-new combat guide trailer, providing a taste of both ranged and melee engagements. If you’re one to enjoy a trusty Laspistol, you’ll be focusing on that Ballistic Skill; if chainswords are more your speed, the Weapon Skill will be determining whether those close-quarters enemies are getting shredded.
As the trailer makes clear, there are numerous factors that can be augmented to better the chance of decimating your foes, such as boosting that all-powerful critical hit chance state. Whatever your preferred style, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader has you (and your friends, if you bring ’em along for co-op) covered.
