Even though Cody Rhodes returned to the WWE after a six-year hiatus, it has been confirmed that the injured wrestler will still be a playable character in AEW: Fight Forever.
Cody Rhodes left WWE in 2016 since he was sick of portraying the Stardust character. During his time away from WWE, he helped found the AEW company and he spent three years with the rival organization.
Even though he’s in the competing company, AEW’s Kenny Omega has confirmed via an interview with Sports Illustrated that Code Rhodes is still in the official AEW video game. You can read his comments below.
“This may come as a surprise to people, but Cody is still in the game,” Omega said. “I was very passionate about making sure his legacy and position within the company were preserved.“
No release date has been announced for AEW: Fight Forever, but the game is rumored to be released this September.
