Non-linear games like Back 4 Blood are typically defined by their longevity, overvalue associated with their linear adventure. Simply beating Back 4 Blood is more of a tutorial that sets you up for higher difficulties and bigger challenges. Still, people might wonder how long does it take to beat Back 4 Blood? So we made a simple guide to make things easier.

How Long Does It Take to Beat Back 4 Blood

Beating Recruit

There are 33 total missions in Back 4 Blood for players to complete. Some are more involved than others like a few are walking outside, killing an enemy, and then walking to another room, but on average they can be completed in seven minutes with some exploration. As a result, the campaign takes about four hours. However, don’t expect the four-hour time.

Most teams will explore, run into problems, alert hoards and simply fail. Certain missions, like T-5, the last boss, and a few others are team-destroying locations. As a result, we can’t give an accurate estimate, especially given it will improve over time, as people have better builds, tactics are known and more information is out there.

Beating Veteran

Right now I’d say it takes about 30 hours of grinding recruit to beat veteran. This time will improve over time, asset builds are formed, dedicated players and a more established player base will be able to compensate for what you lack, but don’t expect to beat it without first doing recruit.

The time can take a bit more or less time depending on how you play as well. Being able to beat veterans is not helpful if you can’t do so proficiently. You’ll take longer, be more stressed and earn fewer supply points (needed to buy cards) for the trouble. The longer you spend grinding, the easier later difficulties will be.

Beating Nightmare

At the time of this post, no one has cleared any of the four sections on nightmare on PlayStation. As a result, expect to hit the 60+ mark before this becomes possible. Some of it will improve as builds and established tactics make things easier, but it is currently impossible to say how long it will take. Thankfully, this proves it will be a task that is worth working towards and give players substantial value.
