In Aliens: Fireteam Elite, everyone has a role. Doc keeps the team in tip-top shape while the Demolisher keeps the inhuman hordes at bay with continuous heavy fire. There’s one class that won’t be filling up teams right from the beginning; that’s the Recon class.
Unlike the other four classes — Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, and Doc — Recon does not appear among the available kit selections when setting up your Colonial Marine initially. Those with a penchant for punchy sniper rifles and general scouting duties will be left barred from the role when they launch into the game.
The good news is the route to Recon couldn’t be more straightforward. You don’t need to worry about fulfilling secret objectives or hunting down hidden crates for the Recon class kit. Here’s everything you need to know.
To unlock the Recon class kit in Aliens: Fireteam Elite, you must complete the main campaign. The twelve-mission campaign concludes with Regicide, the third mission under The Only Way to Be Sure mission set.
Closing out the Aliens: Fireteam Elite story won’t take too long. Whether that news brings you relief or disappointment, I cannot say. But at least you can get your hands on the fifth and final class kit without having to invest countless hours.
Now that you know how to obtain the Recon class, find out what the kit can do in our Class Abilities guide.
