If you’re currently on Xbox Game Pass and for some reason have missed out on the biggest shooter of 2025, now’s your chance to get your hands on the game for free as Battlefield 6 is currently free-to-play all this weekend on the popular subscription service. EA’s flagship shooter along with all of it’s maps, modes and everything else is completely free to play on the service till February 22 so if you enjoy playing first person shooters, you might want to give Battlefield 6 a try this weekend and find out whether it’s worth a buy or not.
Game Pass subscribers across the Ultimate, Premium, and Essential tiers will be able to enjoy Battlefield 6 till this Sunday which includes an unlimited run through all of the multiplayer contents in the game.
Despite having a triumphant launch, the player counts in Battlefield 6 have steadily declined over the past months with a large part of the player base leaving the game during it’s first season. Also, the ongoing and hotly anticipated Season 2 for the game has not been able to cause a resurgence among the player base which both EA and DICE have clearly hoped for and perhaps that’s why the publisher has taken the decision to make Battlefield 6 free to experience for Game Pass subscribers which seems sort of a last-ditch effort to draw in both new and older players alike.
But although it’s currently on Game Pass, Battlefield 6 is still pretty big and surely one of the best first person shooters in recent years so regardless of the overall state of the game, it’s still a tremendous value on the subscription service.
The current season 2 in Battlefield 6 will go on through two phases exactly one month apart each with a steady stream of in-game contents ranging from new maps, modes and more.
