The Dark West might be what ARPGs on PC needed, a new trailer has dropped showcasing some gameplay of the new western title that is clearly inspired by Diablo and others. Grim Dawn is another one that was quite ambitious but not many people talked about that one, but having a fully western spaghetti ARPG is something that makes me go crazy. The team behind it is totally independent, and I’m rooting for this game to succeed in the future, as there seems to be tons of love put into developing the game and making up the entirety of its lore.
The Dark West looks amazing
The trailer showcases gameplay and stuff from the engine working flawlessly and leaving everyone in the comments section amazed, it also made me really want to get this game. Whenever it releases, I would be interested in getting to review it cause we need some fresh blood in the ARPG genre that is done right, from the features we have online isn’t one that will be considered since it will be a single player game. I believe this is the smartest choice to make for an indie team so they can focus on balancing things up instead of making servers and such.
The Dark West takes the Western tropes and gives them a new spin, mixing things up with dark fantasy and even Satanic rituals similar to Diablo to demonstrate that things are harsh in this new game world. With a variety of combos, weapons, and even abilities to discover this new Diablo-like is ready to impress us with some amazing tricks down its sleeve. One of the most innovative mechanics is the card system that promises to revolutionize the genre with some neat gameplay twists never seen before. If you are interested, I think you should wishlist The Dark West.
