Looks like the upcoming WWE 2K26 will have a completely reworked physics including a much more realistic ragdoll system which will allow the normal moves as well as weapons to connect far more seamlessly and physically accurate ways than we’ve seen from the franchise before. During a recent interview with Youtuber JustBryan, WWE 2K26 developer Cornell Gunter said that the improved physics system that can make all the types of wrestling matches really come alive in exciting ways, is one of his favorite new gameplay mechanic in the upcoming title.
He also said due to the new and overhauled physics system in WWE 2K26, the “invisible walls” that were present in all of the earlier titles in the franchise are completely removed and this will make every hit and shot (including with weapons) feel far more natural and lifelike, taking the gamplay experience feel closer to what you see in TV.
“Being able to remove that invisible wall when you’re performing moves and performing certain things like that, which is very important to us,” he said. “Being able to watch the collision and the figures of how the superstars react when they’re hitting weapons and all those kinds of things… Those are the things I’m really excited about for gameplay.”
The standard edition for WWE 2K26 will cost $69.99 while the ‘Deluxe Edition’ or the King of Kings edition of the game is set to cost you $99.99. Then there are two more expensive editions of the game clearly aimed at series enthusiasts including the ‘Premium edition’ or the Attitude Era edition of WWE 2K26 which is priced at $129.99.
