2026 was long marked as the year of the next Grand Theft Auto right after the release window for GTA 6 was pushed from 2025 to this year, even prior to the latest release schedule which sees the game coming out in November. And according to publisher Take-Two’s official earning results, nothing has changed in terms of this year being heralded as the year of GTA 6 or in other words, Rockstar’s upcoming Open World behemoth is still set for release this November.
In Take Two’s quarterly earnings call, CEO Strauss Zelnick has stated:
“With ongoing momentum across many of our businesses, and the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19th, we continue to project record levels of Net Bookings in Fiscal 2027, which we believe will establish a new financial baseline for our business, set us on a path to enhanced profitability, and provide further balance sheet strength and flexibility.”
Furthermore, the official marketing campaign for GTA 6 is also set to kick off this summer, which is pretty much in line with what was previously expected as the game is currently set for a fall release, it only makes sense for it’s marketing to start earlier this year.
“Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer. “
So as this summer approaches, ready to hop on, fasten your seatbelts and prepare to witness new trailers including gameplay trailer(s) and more–all of which are destined to blow our minds to bits and break the internet many times over. Cause in all possibility, the marketing campaign of GTA 6 is sure to be as fittingly epic and breathtaking as the biggest videogame ever made, amen.
GTA 6 is currently slated to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
