WWE 2K26 will sport a bit of extra sheen on the Nintendo Switch 2 this year as the upcoming title was clearly developed from the ground up to take full advantage of the handheld console as opposed to last year’s WWE 2K25. So if you’re on the Switch 2, you’ll get some bonus treat this year when playing the premier wrestling title worldwide which include both Touchscreen and mouse support on the console. Plus, you will also be able to play WWE 2K26 with a single Joy-Con along with support for both GameShare and GameChat.
As for as Mouse support, you can use the built-in Joy-Con mouse within the Creation Suite for face and body paint which is neat and will make extensive in-game customization more seamless on the Switch 2. Also, WWE 2K26 on the Switch 2 will support image uploading and cross-platform community creations which were absent in the previous title, proving the new entry in the popular wrestling series has been designed to leverage the best aspects of the Switch 2 in many ways.
CM Punk is confirmed be the focus of the Showcase mode in WWE 2K26 and players will be able to recreate many of the superstar’s most memorable and pivotal matches from his long career. So if you’re a fan of the seasoned wrestler, the upcoming WWE 2K26 is going to be a real treat in more ways than one.
There will also be four new type of matches where one will be completely new (the Dumpster Match) to the series while three match types will be returning from much older entries of the series which are the Inferno Match, I Quit Match and the 3-Stages-of-Hell match.
The open world Island Mode which debuted in last year’s WWE 2K25 will also be returning with a brand new storyline that’s sure to be at least as engaging and memorable as it has been in the previous title.
