One of the major ways the upcoming WWE 2K26 will stand out from the rest of the titles in the popular wrestling game series is how it’s DLCs arrive and as opposed to the previous games, all post-launch content for the latest WWE title will be released through a Ringside pass which also provides bonus incentive for all players. Similar to Battle passes in many other games, the Ringside pass in WWE 2K26 allows players to earn XP across all offline game modes and introduces a total of 60 free tiers and 40 premium tiers.
And those who reach tier 40 through WWE 2K26’s Ringside pass will get access to new Superstars, cosmetics, customizations, bonus contents for The Island mode and many more.
“The Ringside Pass Premium replaces the previous DLC model, rewarding players with all-new playable characters unavailable on the base game roster, including current Superstars, Legends, Personas, and some unexpected names,” 2K Sports stated.
The Ringside pass for WWE 2K26 will be rolled out through different ‘seasons’ across the game’s life cycle and the first season will be release on the game’s launch day which is March 6 (for players with early access) along with five others planned for the following months. Season 2 is about to commence on May 4, Season 3 on June 29, Season 4 from August 24, Season 5 on October 19 and Season 6 will start on December 14.
However, the contents in each of the seasons for WWE 2K26 are yet to be announced but hopefully they will be in the coming weeks. Where in the earlier model of DLC release like in WWE 2K25 you could decide which one to get specifically based on your needs but the new Ringside pass system is a bit vague on that front, at least what looks like right now.
WWE 2K26 also sports an even bigger roster of superstars and wrestlers than it’s predecessor, going over 400 playable characters in total encompassing both modern day era and the classic eras of WWE.
