Marble’s Marbles is quite the crazy name for a game based on Marble Madness, and a trailer has been revealed to show us how this new PC game works. Much to the like of Marble Madness, this one feels quite similar but with a more expanded vision. It is neat when small titles decide to replicate something that has been done in the past, because there’s a wealth from ideas that might need some expansion upon them instead of ignoring them. One way of preservation is honoring the work that was done in the past and trying to give it your own twist.
Marble’s Marbles looks like madness
The graphic art style is quite peculiar, almost feels as if it had a filter on top of it, not to mention that it also gives off the vibes of something that is old. It might be cooler if it actually worked for older systems, and while it seems that it does those 8GB of RAM that the game requires might be at least DDR4 memory instead of something standard of the time like DDR3 or DDR2. We need more games that work on systems like Windows XP and others, perhaps trying to go back to the older days of gaming might be the real way to avoid this hardware crisis.
Playing around with older tech challenges you to try and create something in a very confined space, and it might honestly be the way to get everyone to play your game as building powerful computers becomes more and more of a pipe dream for many. However, people still want next generation stuff that is new and appealing, so it’s understandable why there’s tons of concern for what is happening now thanks to the “AI” hardware crisis. We should have access to DDR5 platforms for an affordable price.
