Retro Relics gets an amazing release on Steam in 2026

Retro Relics

Retro Relics is a passion game made by someone who does enjoy treasure hunting in real life, this new PC title is yet another addition to the long list of cozy games so sit back, relax, and enjoy the hunt. With your trusty Metal Detector, join your forces with local NPCs in the game and take up their requests to search for stuff buried on earth and in many other places. The whole idea of the game is doing something quite mundane that not many people would be able to do in real life due to many reasons. Although, treasure hunting does still remain an accessible hobby in real life if you have time for it.

Retro Relics is a blast from the past

The pixel art style does give it a more cozy and nostalgic look in a way, and since the idea is to search old objects from the past and collect all of them the art style makes total sense. This is based on the hobby of the developer who is actually treasure hunting, and many of the treasures found on the game are treasures he found in real life, so this game is quite a neat way for him to tell us about his experiences with the hobby. Retro Relics is currently sitting at a good discount, 20% to be precise, but you have to be quick if you wanna get your hands on it at this price.

As always indie games on PC provide a ton of variety, and while Steam does have many, including this game, there’s a ton of other storefronts and places to get your hands into more games. Itch.io happens to be yet another place that can be considered a treasure trove of indie titles nobody might be talking about, so maybe you can unearth some amazing games from there too like Retro Relics.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
