Several new leaks have recently surfaced from the long awaited Bioshock 4 which could give us some ideas regarding it’s setting, characters and more elements and it all looks to be pretty interesting and true to the core tenets of the series. One of the reports claim that there will be some sort of a Casino in the world of Bioshock 4 and that too, will be on a “grander scale”, plus there will also be an in-game location named “Solaria (or Solaris)”.
According to MP1st, there are multiple mentions of a new group of individuals called “Solarians” who will possibly play an important part in Bioshock 4. Also, Snow as an environmental element will have a presence in the upcoming Bioshock title along with “massive, canyon-style landscapes” in the game world. MP1st’s report also states that there are “references to a specific individual or entity” known as “Male Flusher” in Bioshock 4 and the ADAM substance or something likewise may also return in the game to a limited degree.
There are several mentions in the report of what seems like the central antagonist in Bioshock 4 with three distinct images of a particular man in different stances: “Considering the detail put into elements of the statue, like the facial features and the hairstyle, we theorize that it’s supposed to represent the game’s central antagonist.”
Back in August, it was reported that Bioshock 4 is set to undergo a full narrative overhaul after getting a failed internal review by 2K Games executives and it seems development for the ambitious first person shooter is at full speed again which is great news for all fans of the series.
The Bioshock series has always featured unique and memorable settings that felt like living, breathing worlds along with complex, nuanced antagonists and the upcoming fourth entry seems intended to get both of these parts right which would be great.
