Critical Reflex is a company known for boosting indie games on PC and making them reach wider audiences, that’s pretty much the work a publisher should do, to support rather than to enforce. Unfortunately they seem to be part of something very shade involving a former worker of the company, Evelina Zemljic, who claims that company members such as Ted Hentschke and other senior staff. Along with this, the CEO and founder of the company Rita Lebedeva seems to also be involved in all of this fiasco, hopefully all of this is just a misunderstanding.
Critical Reflex under scrutiny
It is very normal for things like this to happen on the industry unfortunately, and it is very sad when it does, it feels as if this sort of incidents were recent but they have been with us for decades now. With the power of the internet we can know more about this and call out such behavior, however things get messy when there’s more factors involved. Zemljic has confirmed she has gone through a mental health crisis during this period of alleged harassment, there is however another factor mentioned in chats that people might identify and realize there’s more to it.
The internet can be a dangerous place, anyone could be telling lies, and Critical Reflex seems to be caught in a crossfire of terrible magnitude. Things need to become clear as there’s many layers to this problem but I stand on the side of the victim until more information is disclosed, this is what anyone reasonable would do when things are murky. One has to be careful on which side to take on the matter, since companies are often not really in our side, but maybe that can change as the story keeps getting updated with new information, stay tuned for more updates in the future about Critical Reflex.
