Vitrified looks stunning, and it seems to have tons of passion put behind by Jack and company. This new piece of art took 4 years to make, and now we can celebrate the fact that this new PC game just got a demo you can try out. It works on every system, as it has been made with Unity, while I disprove of the usage of this engine, one can’t really do much when they already learnt the tools of the craft. Godot might have been a better alternative but that shouldn’t deter people from trying out this new game. It took a lot, and it should be worth it for the developers behind it.
Vitrified got a cool demo
You can try it out in any way you want, this works on Windows, Mac, and even Linux. While it is not clear if Steam Deck support is a thing taken in consideration, the fact that it works in Linux should be enough to assure you it also works on the Steam Deck. Thankfully, one can try out the demo and see if it feels good enough on Valve’s popular portable system, perhaps the feedback can be useful for the developer behind it. Vitrified is inspired in Dune and a ton of other games such as Metroid, and the pixel art is breathtaking.
We need more games that focus on this level of artistry, as the industry should be carried forward with the hard work that artists do. Programmers are artists, so there’s a ton of ways to express creativity as long as the skills come from yourself. Indie developers aren’t afraid to show their own style, and they should never be, as true art comes from the hand of people who want to express their own vision of the medium. If you are interested, check out the demo of Vitrified and wishlist it too.
