Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to get the Valley of Memory free DLC today which includes around 6 hours of brand new story contents, significant gameplay additions and improvements along with some minor fixes as well. The full trophy list of the new DLC was revealed earlier this month and now Assassin’s Creed Mirage will also receive title update 1.1.0, side by side with the Valley of Memory DLC.
The size of the new update is 22.6GB for the PS5, 16.6GB on PS4, 32.39GB on Xbox Series X|S, 10.11GB on the Xbox One and 28.15GB for the PC platform.
The Valley of Memory DLC will follow Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s protagonist Basim into ninth-century AlUla (a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the modern day Saudi Arabia) in a quest to find his long lost father. Besides introducing a whole new region in the game’s map, the DLC also comes with new assassination contracts, side quests, world events, new replayable missions and more. Then there’s also several gameplay improvements like further refinements in Mirage’s parkour mechanics such as manual jumping, smoother transition when moving between rooftops and the ability to customize side and back ejects.
Two new difficulties have also been added to Assassin’s Creed Mirage which are Hardened Assassin and Ultimate Assassin and clearly aimed at veteran players looking for more challenges. There’s also a new Custom Difficulty preset for fine tuning the overall difficulty in a myriad of ways which many players will find welcome.
And to help keep up with the newly added difficulties, Valley of Memory also brings whole new Level 3 upgrades for each tool from the base game with Throwing Knives becoming explosive on impact, Smoke bombs becoming corrosive and dissolving downed enemies to erase any evidence of Basim’s presence, Blowdarts now piercing through heavily armored enemies, Noisemakers can now put affected enemies to sleep and Traps will cause enemies to go berserk and attack other foes as well.
Overall, the stealth system in Assassin’s Creed Mirage was one of the, if not the best in the entire series and the new DLC seems all set to take it to whole new levels of fun, depth and replayability.
