Dota 2 just got a wild crossover, as wild as a monster, that’s right Capcom decided to give them the opportunity to crossover with Monster Hunter. This is gargantuan, but at the same time its rather expected, Capcom has been on the hunt trying to get as many crossovers as possible. Mega Man is pretty much just a crossover machine at this point, without any new game in sight, but fans will have to wait a bit more, perhaps some years more. Leaving this tangent aside, Monster Hunter does crossovers with a ton of things, because Capcom loves getting more eyes on them.
Dota 2 is still alive with a new crossover
It is surprising to see how resilient this game was, being one of the first MOBA, one would think that it has been outclassed by others in the market. However, Valve’s game keeps returning again and again without showing signs of dying. The current state of the game is not the best however, balance is a big issue but since the game maintains itself Valve does not really bat an eye to such issues they deem trivial. Monster Hunter is a great game series by Capcom, and despite all changes through the eras it still remains a well known series.
Dota 2’s crossover with Monster Hunter brings a ton of cosmetics to the table, that seems to be all in game but there’s more, and this is honestly for the better since Dota 2 was getting stale. While it would be funny to see Rathalos stomping through the map, it would get annoying very quick, this is why there is a new hunting system implemented with this crossover, you will be hunting these popular monsters as you play. To add to this, perhaps it would be better to separate it into a new game mode, but from the way they show it, this is actually happening during the regular game.
