Lightphobe is surprising, and the trailer shows some intense action, I have been keeping an eye on this PC game for quite a while now.The twist in this team based shooter is simple, the roles are entirely different the team of Lightphobes being the most interesting one to play. This idea is very innovative, as the Lightphobes can sneak up to the soldiers to do some steal kills, they can only play in a melee way. You could think of this game as a shooter with zombie mode, only that the zombies play by very different rules and matchups are very tense. Soldiers play like your regular FPS soldiers, but they will be adapted to the threat that Lightphobes pose, as the name implies, the opposing team are creatures who are revealed by light fields. It is important to keep into account that you can play this game for free until 2026 by downloading the demo, buying the game gives you the opportunity to host servers yourself which means that this game will last forever.
This is the right way to do a Live Service FPS, one that works like the older days of gaming where things were better. However, the reviews are very weird, and some of them are quite similar to each other, one has to be wary about why this might be a thing. So far, what I played of the game is pretty decent, and I can see it having a future if things go well and there’s nothing shady going on with it.
