Resident Evil Requiem is having pre-orders ready and many PC players are excited to be able to dig in their own graves early in this wonderful survival horror title that will unravel some more mysteries about what happened with the viral zombie infection. Not many players expected to see Resident Evil Survivor be referenced in other ways but here we are, we are playing as a relevant character to that series of spinoffs in this new title. Capcom always surprise us when it comes to their knowledge on the lore of the Resident Evil series and how to apply it properly without it feeling forced in any way.
Resident Evil Requiem can be pre-ordered
While I never recommend people to pre-order, especially not in an era where games are so expensive, they have the freedom to pick whatever they desire to do with their money. Digital releases aren’t real, and you don’t actually own anything you buy on these digital storefronts unless its stated otherwise. While platforms exist that respect the right to ownership such as GOG, Steam isn’t one of them and while they have promised to implement an offline client if push comes to shove and their empire goes offline, nobody is sure about that.
Resident Evil Requiem might be one of the best games in the Resident Evil series, and while they should perhaps go back to some classic fixed camera action the new games are still good enough. I miss the times where tank controls were crucial to navigate towards the tight corridors made sense, because static camera angles need very particular solutions. Perhaps Resident Evil Requiem might have some sections reminiscent of that gameplay feature, since it is a callback to the good old days when people enjoyed the series back in the PS2. Are you ready to face the truth behind what happened?
