Content creators are everything nowadays, and The Sims 4 relies on them a lot to the point them quitting can leave a massive hole in EA Games pockets. EA Games was terrible, but now they are getting even worse after the Saudi Arabia deal and they massive “AI” push, but we kinda expected that, they don’t really care about art, only about money. People should know this, its basic knowledge for anyone who plays games that whatever comes form the hands of this company has some strings attached, and now they have decided to do away with that last bit of humanity.
The Sims 4 and EA is in trouble
Nobody wants to deal with EA Games anymore, and nobody cares about what they are doing, because they aren’t really doing anything anymore. They are pretty much done, there’s no turning back from going full ham with “AI” or any other sort of trend that they chase. Even Ubisoft has decided that they should hold back on some things after the disaster that was NFTs. There really is no reason to play games that aren’t made by people and have their passion put into them, games are art, and art is effort. Failing to understand that is enough to just stop working on the video game industry.
For all I care, EA Games should become a company that focuses on sports betting, it suits them better when you think about it. The Sims 4 should become primarily a property of Maxis along with the whole IP, and then they should become their own independent studio. Nothing good comes from allying yourself with scum such as EA Games, who not only did treason the industry and countless artist, but they also treason their name too. Perhaps the only art they know how to do, is the art of scamming.
