Techland has now released its extensive post-launch content roadmap for Dying Light: The Beast, which charts a path for new features and events that will be hosted over the next eleven-and-a-half weeks, culminating in early January 2026. This draft agenda is largely about bolstering the core gameplay loop and directly addressing community requests within only one month after the release of the open-world action horror title on September 18.
A key feature for the immediate future of the game is the highly sought-after modes that will amplify time-to-kill and increase reward progression. The roadmap puts New Game Plus mode at almost the top, with new Legend levels and nightmare difficulty settings all to be incorporated with great speed. This comes with new game posting, which will help combat player frustrations due to ridiculously high crafting requirements for Legendary gear. Many fans stated that the massively uptick in material prices was causing the late gaming experience to feel overly repetitive and grindy, which this new addition is meant to rectify.
Further to the added difficulty and progression tiers, Techland will allocate resources for technical updates and maintain community engagement. Dedicated ray tracing support will offer PC players enhanced visual fidelity. In terms of immediate content, the developer has started the weekly Call of the Beast community challenges. These events will run until January 7, culminating in the handing out of twenty-two unique prizes to all participants, leading up to a Legendary prize. More excitingly, they have teased an upcoming collaboration with the eminent battle royale title, PUBG: Battlegrounds.
Such a decision from them follows an overall positive reception during the launch window, where it has secured a Strong flag status and gained an 80% recommendation rate on OpenCritic. The past month saw five updates mostly dedicated to fixing pressing hotfixes and critical stability issues. With a more solid footing now in place, the plan is for Techland to roll out the roadmap over several updates, stating that the content is nailed down but attaching specific dates for the individual features is yet to be firmly affixed to this announcement.
