REANIMAL is shaping up to be an excellent game, done by the people who are familiar with these kinds of titles, Tarsier Studio. This new piece of art got a demo you can play right now, and for those who are hating too much on Little Nightmares III despite building upon things that aren’t broken, you should try REANIMAL out. There’s still no release date or any sort of information that leads us into knowing when the game will drop, but one can assume it releases either this year, or it gets more polish to release in 2026. Pieces of art should never be rushed, as the best projects are made with patience.
REANIMAL is the real Little Nightmares III
While Little Nightmares III was a good game, it didn’t feel as good as Little Nightmares II in retrospective, but it still had the right ideas that didn’t make it feel all that different. It might have been a game that is very dark, an issue that is quite common for games published by Bandai Namco for some reason, but it still was a good game to play for a while and finish. REANIMAL seems to be aiming to become what the Little Nightmare series should have, and it seems to still remain true to its roots with the Limbo like gameplay.
There’s a ton of puzzles to solve, monsters to evade, and a different yet familiar feel. I don’t really get critiques about games feeling too similar, that’s the whole point, its like criticizing a JRPG for being repetitive. While Little Nightmares III deserves more love for the things it accomplished, being quite the polished experience when it comes to cooperative play, REANIMAL should be the game holding your attention right now, as it is a true successor made by the same people who started Little Nightmares in the first place.
