Battlefield 6 Offers Players the Option to Uninstall the Single Player Campaign after finishing it

Battlefield 6

In a move that’s surely unprecedented in the history of the first person shooter genre, the recently released Battlefield 6 features an ‘Uninstall’ button that appears after you finish the campaign which lets you, as the name suggests, completely remove the single player story section of the game in it’s entirety.

A post by BobNetworkUK on X/Twitter has revealed that after completing the campaign in Battlefield 6, a new button shows up and provides the option to uninstall the mode, although if you don’t want to remove the campaign you can still continue to play individual missions and complete various challenges as Battlefield 6 has a mission select button as well.

The new option will definitely be useful to players who don’t want to revisit the campaign of Battlefield 6 after going through it once which will also help reduce the overall size of the game by a large margin as the story part of a game can take up a huge chunk of space for many different reasons. This also clearly shows that the single player campaign was never really intended to be more than just a fun but forgettable training ground for the overall multiplayer experience which is what Battlefield 6 is really all about.

And incidentally, from all the reviews that EA’s flagship first person shooter is currently getting around the world, it’s single player campaign is being pointed out as the weakest part of the game.

The single player portion of Battlefield 6 also features a total of nine missions that sees the player taking part in intense, all-out warfare across Africa, North America, and Europe which is staggering in terms of sheer scale. The campaign lets the player be part of a full squad with each member belonging to a different class, similar to the game’s multiplayer experience. Also, there’s a revive mechanic in the single player campaign as well which works exactly as it does in the multiplayer mode.

However, clocking it at only 4-6 hours, the single player part of Battlefield 6 seems like an Achilles Heel to the game’s vastly superior and consistently fun multiplayer experience, which is by all intents and purposes, the defining part of the game for all players.

Battlefield 6 came out on 10th October and is currently dominating the shooter genre worldwide with the game massively surpassing it’s rival Call of Duty’s overall player count on Steam.
