Code Vein 2 got an amazing trailer showing us interesting tidbits about the story and what we can wait to see on the next continuation of the Code Vein series. There’s a ton to delve into when it comes to the world of Code Vein and Code Vein 2 might show us much needed answers to fill in the gaps left by the previous iteration. Bandai Namco games and franchises are often filled to the brim with tons of lore and tidbits that fans love to find and engage with, Code Vein is no exception to this rule and it seems that this next installment will be great.

The original Code Vein was rather clunky, but still a good time and many players seem to have liked it. There’s a ton of things to do as this Souls-like is rather unique compared to others that exist in the market by just copying Dark Souls formula. A ton of the ideas in the genre have been shaken up to bring leeway for some creative ideas to shape the core identity of Code Vein, and we can only hope that Code Vein 2 decides to implement some new things that are good for the identity of the game rather than just copying other games.
Originality is key when it comes to game development, and while many copies often sell well, they barely give something meaningful to the medium as a whole. A ton of new games nowadays seem to play it very safe, expecting some big cash flow for copying ideas rather than innovating, I hope that Code Vein 2 brings that to an end but it seems unlikely. Code Vein has always remained rather niche, and not many people seem to vibe well with the current anime art style it possess, but maybe that can change.
