Bandai Namco has just released a new trailer showcasing all of the 208 playable characters available in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero and teases even more upcoming characters with the counter going up to 209 with the words “To be continued”. There’s also an official confirmation that another DLC is already in the works which will bring even more characters into Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero with new information releasing in January next year.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero already boasts the biggest roster for any Dragon Ball game ever, and the new tease just makes things way more interesting. Of course new characters releasing for the game is definitely exciting but at this point the question becomes what else could there be as Sparking Zero has already covered all there is in Dragon Ball anyway.
But then, it would be pretty awesome if the devs decide to include characters from the official Dragon Ball Super manga which picks up right from where the Anime left off and bring characters such as Black Frieza, Granolla, Ultra Ego Vegeta and more into the game. Of course they will be extremely overpowered but enjoyable nonetheless, so that sure looks like a viable path for more characters at this point.
The last DLC released for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was the Daima Character Pack 2 which included some of the most exciting new characters to come out of the recent Dragon Ball Daima anime such as Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, both of whom have garnered lots of love from players worldwide.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero came out on 7th October 2024 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and the PC platform. The beat-em-up was released to generally positive reviews from the critics and quickly became a huge commercial success with over five million units sold worldwide. The game is also slated to release on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on November 14 and you can pre-order it right now on all major online storefronts along with the Nintendo eShop.
