Activision and TiMi Studio Group have confirmed a major partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). They are bringing two of WWE’s most famous stars, The Undertaker and Alexa Bliss, into the popular mobile shooter, Call of Duty Mobile. This collaboration is part of the upcoming Season 9 update, titled “Midnight Rumble,” set to launch on October 1st at 5 PM PT. The partnership goes beyond simple cosmetic additions. It introduces a dedicated Limited Time Mode (LTM) that changes key gameplay mechanics to add the vibe of professional wrestling.
The main feature of the event is the new LTM, which provides a unique combat experience for players. Matches begin with participants using only the Prizefighter weapon, a boxing glove-based melee tool. If players get on a hot streak during the match, they can turn into one of the WWE operators, giving them significant combat advantages. Once transformed, they gain more health and can perform finishing moves against opponents from any direction. This adds a new level of surprise and impact to close-quarters fights.
Alongside the game mode, there are various WWE-themed in-game events. Players can earn Entry Tickets for participating. These tickets can be used in related mini-games to gain SmackDown points. These points act as currency for collecting exclusive rewards, like the powerful CR-56 AMAX (Furious Finisher Weapon Blueprint) and the Minotaur (Fractured Fiend Operator Skin). Additionally, players who want to use the WWE characters regularly can find dedicated draws featuring Alexa Bliss and The Undertaker for purchase in the in-game store, allowing them to permanently acquire this themed content.
The arrival of this major WWE crossover shows Call of Duty Mobile’s ongoing effort to create large-scale, third-party partnerships. It continues to serve as the main mobile offering of the franchise. This year, the game has also tapped into the popularity of various collaborators, including partnerships with famous baseball player Ronald Acuna Jr. and collaborations with Japanese media properties like Gundam and NieR: Automata. These focused content additions support the game’s live-service model, keeping players engaged and solidifying Call of Duty Mobile’s strong position in the competitive smartphone gaming market.
