Following an initial cinematic reveal that showed a glimpse of its World War II-era setting, new footage and screenshots of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra have reportedly surfaced online. This material offers the first look at the game’s real combat and player-controlled action. The leaked content appears to come from different development stages. A brief, 15-second gameplay clip of Black Panther looks notably rougher than the accompanying screenshots.
The leaked video shows the Azzuri version of Black Panther fighting in what seems to be a dimly lit bar. The character uses agile maneuvers to take out four armed soldiers, finishing with a front-flipping kick. This is the first time any gameplay has been shown publicly. Previous trailers from developer Skydance New Media focused solely on cinematics and character reveals.
Further images have also emerged, as reported by MP1ST. These are more polished and likely from a later build of the game. The screenshots offer a clearer view of the title’s environments, including an underground railway tunnel, a hallway, and various outdoor settings—all from Black Panther’s perspective. The quality of these images raises speculation that the leaked video comes from an earlier development build, considering the significant visual difference between the two sets of materials.
These leaks arrive at a critical time for the project, which has seen its release pushed from the 2025 holiday season to 2026. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will feature four playable characters: Steve Rogers’ Captain America, the Azzuri Black Panther, Wakandan spy Nanali, and Gabriel Jones from the Howling Commandos. While unauthorized releases can be frustrating for developers, this early look has given fans their first real taste of what to expect from the eagerly awaited action-adventure title.
