Cheese Rolling might be one of the most ludicrous indie games on the market in 2025, it is also free to grab on Steam, so have some friends at hand, maybe 8 for maximum chaos, cause its gonna be one cheesy PC gaming session. That joke stinks I will admit, but not as much as the cheese you will have to roll down a hill to grab, by flapping and doing basic rag doll animations your goal is to get the cheese before anyone else does. This is apparently inspired by the old tradition of rolling a cheese wheel through Cooper’s Hill, and honestly this is hilarious. We at Infinite Start will cover this ludicrous yet charming game.
Cheese Rolling got me rolling
This game is wild, and honestly, I have never seen anything like it before. This is loads of fun to play with a full lobby of people, and despite it having a very simple microtransaction, its honestly not a big deal. The developers kinda have to sustain themselves in some shape or form, it also has a single player mode that will remain perpetually there, which means Cheese Rolling is way better than the majority of Live Service games today. It is ludicrous that a low fidelity game made with love can beat tons of triple A titles in the industry.
This happens because indie developers are down to earth people who form connections with those who they make games for. They understand that the client is what matters the most and there is no investor behind them trying to tell them what to do. Teams like this do games such as Cheese Rolling because they actually want to make them, no secret agenda, no strings attached, just pure fun and unadulterated creativity, just like many games used to be in the 90s really.
