Metal Gear Solid Delta is really looking to be a good remake of a classic, PC gamers will be able to enjoy this one in August 28th, and it seems that Konami is starting to realize that Pachinkos aren’t really worth it after all. They should team up with M2 more often to make adaptations of their classic games, or even new ones in case people want to experience more of their lost series like Castlevania. If Konami wants to succeed, they need to push for more, specifically, they should release more real games that aren’t live service slop. We at Infinite Start will cover what they do.
Metal Gear Solid Delta is a Konami revival
We might be seeing more from them, but for now, Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater is enough to get hyped about. Snake Eater was a classic back then it released in 2004 for the PS2, and the name being Delta for this remake kinda makes it feel cooler than just dropping a 3 and mixing up the original with the remake. As long as they don’t do the thing they did with Silent Hill 2, which essentially attempts to replace the better PS2 game with a terrible remake, things should be fine if things go south.
There’s not much to say about it, Snake Eater is timeless, much to the like of other works by Kojima such as Snatcher, and the Metal Gear series has been with us since the early days of computers, being the first title an MSX exclusive that blew the minds of many back then. Konami, more specifically Kojima, blew the world with his creativity and decision to make a stealth game, those didn’t even really exist back then, aside from some very specific examples that are too arcadey to be a full game. Metal Gear Solid Delta might be the best way to play this third entry in the Metal Gear Solid series.
