Capcom has released the patch notes for Monster Hunter Wilds‘ major patch 1.021 which brings a ton of new contents into the game including expanding the endgame, 9 new Monsters and Talismans along with a myriad of improvements to weapon balancing, quality of life changes and more optimizations. The patch also comes with a message from the game director responding to concerns surrounding Monster Hunter Wilds’ performance on the PC which have been pretty lackluster since it’s release.
Patch 1.021 is set to arrive today at 7.30 PM PT / 03:30 PM BST and will be around 3GB on Playstation 5, 2GB on Xbox Series X|S and 2GB on Steam, but 6GB with High Resolution Texture Pack installed.
In the letter to the community that’s part of the latest patch, Director Yuya Tokuda has formerly apologized to the players for the delay to fix the persistent performance and stability issues in Monster Hunter Wilds, which are still not part of the new patch. One can only hope the devs release another hotfix update to iron out those issues pretty soon, but at least they’ve openly acknowledged the problems and stated that they’re committed to resolving them which is clearly a step in the right direction.
“Thank you so much for playing Monster Hunter Wilds. And a big thank you as well to all the hunters who have been sharing their game feedback and requests,” Tokuda said. “The entire development team is carefully reviewing your feedback and working hard to implement improvements and adjustments.
“We apologize for the time some improvements may take, but we are committed to delivering a more enjoyable and satisfying gaming experience, so we greatly appreciate your patience.”
The 9 Star Monsters included in the update are: Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, Arkveld, Mizutsune, Lagiacrus, Seregios. In addition, there are also several tweaks and changes that have been made to the monsters in the game including the appearance rate of monsters at HR 100 and higher have been adjusted while the appearance rate of standard monsters has also been increased a bit.
