The upcoming Mafia: The Old Country will feature both quality and performance modes on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to provide the players a choice to tailor their in-game experiences towards visual realism or increased framerate, the developer has confirmed in their Twitter/X account. The game will run at a locked 60 FPS in the consoles when the performance mode is selected and it’ll run in 30 FPS in the quality mode, as is the case with tons of other titles in the consoles.
Developer Hanger 13 has also listed all the PC-specific features of Mafia: The Old Country, which are as follows:
Mafia: The Old Country — PC Features
- V-Sync
- Uncapped gameplay framerate
- Anti-aliasing and upscaling
- Remappable keyboard inputs
- Frame generation with AMD PFSR, NVIDIA DLSS and Intel XESS
- HDR support
- Accessibility Options
- Ultrawide monitor support
Basically, playing Mafia: The Old Country on PC gives you added features in terms of both visuals and controls, making the game shine a lot more compared to the console releases.
The developers have also unveiled a new ‘Epic’ system requirements which targets 4K resolution with the maximum level of visual richness you can get in Mafia: The Old Country. And to run the game at this level of visual quality, you need an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X or Intel Core i7-14700K with 32GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 9070 or NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti which are pretty reasonable in terms of 4K gaming, in 2025. Also, the minimum and recommended requirements of the game remain exactly the same as before, when they were first announced back in May.
However, all of the system requirements are made with upscalers in mind and to run the game at native resolutions, you probably need an even higher GPU, also Mafia: The Old Country supports NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4.0 and Intel XeSS 2.0 along with Frame-Gen as well.
Mafia: The Old Country will arrive on August 8, 2025 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and the PC platform. Both Standard and Deluxe Editions for the game is priced at $49.99 and $59.99 respectively and are currently up for pre-order.
