RoGlass is a gimmicky and new roguelite on the PC indie scene. This new puzzle game is a rather intriguing one and it has released a new free content update. The objective of RoGlass is trying to fill spaces and score points as you do. To do this, you must carefully use all your resources and pieces correctly to avoid going into a game loss. This is a rather novel concept, but one can’t help but think that maybe roguelites are overdone by now. We at Infinite Start will cover what this new update pieces together for its players.

New additions to the fray

It’s taken a while, but the creator, James Castle, is happy to announce that challenge modes and twenty new achievements are now in the game. Once you’ve beaten the game for the first time, you’ll have access to challenge modes in the game that will boost difficulty. You can complete various achievements in this meta version of RoGlass and get as far as you can in each mode. Challenge modes have special modifiers that twist the rules of the game, so you’ll have to think differently about how you play. Start from the beginning with a limited number of restarts, but keep various upgrades from meta achievements that you earn.

There is a total of five challenge modes. Basic Challenge is basically the same game but with a limited number of continues. Then you have Unlimited Tiles, where you can place tiles in any place you want but your restarts are even more limited. Low Score is the most interesting one, you start with a lot of continues but as you acquire more score, you lose them. Then you have Always Rolling, a mode where RNG goes totally crazy in unpredictable ways uncommon to the normal flow of the game. Last but not least, there is Adjacency Challenge, where Tiles must be placed adjacent to each other. If you are interested in the game, you can give it a try.
