No Man's Sky Drops February 2025 Experimental Branch Update

Hello Games has rolled out a new No Man’s Sky Experimental Branch update for February 2025, adding a series of fixes and enhancements to the constantly evolving space exploration game. Experimental Branches permit players to experience forthcoming patches ahead of their release, allowing developers to discover possible problems and sharpen solutions.

Major Fixes and Improvements

The newest patch, noted by Game Rant, is focused on fixing several technical and gameplay issues. One of the most visible fixes is the one that has been implemented to eliminate a bug that made ships lose their personal names following expeditions. Fixes have also been implemented to enable Exocraft scanners to find buildings correctly, improving planetary exploration.

For PC players, the update also corrects a graphical issue that manifested when entering settings in PCVR mode. The Titan expedition, one of No Man’s Sky’s more challenging quests, has also been adjusted, such as a patch that prevents an underwater crashed freighter from failing to spawn at a critical rendezvous point.

Ongoing Support and Speculation

While some players have struggled with certain of the Titan expedition—namely, escaping tornadoes on deadly gas giants—normal patches still enhance the overall game. The ongoing support from Hello Games has made it a popular rumor that No Man’s Sky might be receiving a port for the yet-to-be-announced Nintendo Switch 2. As great as the game has performed on all platforms it’s seen release on, an even more powerful handheld console might be the ideal destination for a next-gen survival game.

For the time being, No Man’s Sky gamers can jump into the newest Experimental Branch on Steam and experience the improvements it offers before the next big update for the game. Due to the regular stream of updates from Hello Games and community testing in the Experimental Branch, No Man’s Sky is still one of the most supported live-service games. With its ever-expanding universe being explored by its engaged community, these fine-tuning tuning measures result in an optimized and seamless experience. Whether future expeditions, new content additions, or even possible ports to next-gen platforms, the game’s evolution never ends.
