Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Nintendo Switch 2 Star Wars title

Exciting Rumor Suggests Star Wars Jedi: Survivor May Be Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

A new rumor hints that the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Survivor might soon be ported to the Nintendo Switch 2. Initially released in 2023 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the game follows Jedi Cal Kestis as he navigates the dangerous galaxy under the control of the Galactic Empire, blending engaging combat with new Force abilities and lightsaber styles.

Jedi: Survivor’s Reception and Previous Ports

When Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched, it was met with widespread praise for its storytelling and gameplay mechanics on consoles, but its PC release suffered from significant technical issues that were gradually resolved through patches. In September 2024, the game was also ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, bringing the “Dark Times” Star Wars adventure to an even broader audience.

Interestingly, the game never made its way to the original Nintendo Switch, likely due to the console’s hardware limitations. However, the more powerful Nintendo Switch 2, officially revealed on January 16, 2025, seems like a promising platform for the title.

As reported by Comicbook and GamesIndustry writer Daniel Camilo, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is rumored to be in development for the Switch 2. While no release date has been confirmed, speculation suggests it could launch in 2026 or later. Whether the game will also be adapted for the original Switch remains unclear, but Camilo’s report only mentions the Switch 2.

Nintendo Switch 2 Announcement

During its recent reveal, Nintendo confirmed the Switch 2 will feature backward compatibility with original Switch titles, though certain games may face technical issues. Alongside this announcement, Nintendo teased several upcoming releases for the console, including a new Mario Kart. A potential port of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would add significant appeal to the Switch 2’s growing library.

Gamers might hear more about this rumored port during the Nintendo Direct livestream focused on the Switch 2, scheduled for April 2, 2025. Until then, fans are encouraged to treat the news with cautious optimism.
