Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Shockingly Recieves Yet Another Update From GSC Game World

Just after a month of the game’s release, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has proven successful for GSC Game World. Only 48 hours past its release, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl reportedly sold over 1 million copies, garnering positive reviews from fans and critics, who praised the game’s storyline and overall gameplay, but backlashed the presence of bugs in the game while requesting fixes and updates for the game.

From what gamers have seen, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was launched with several hazardous bugs that required immediate fixes and patches. Fortunately, GSC Game World heard the cries of Stalker 2 fans. It released the game’s very first update on December 19 which was said to have fixed well over 1,800 bugs in the game, from adjustments to NPC spawns to AI enhancements, and so much more including balance tweaks and optimization improvements. The patch 1.1 made a huge difference to Stalker 2’s gameplay making annoyed Stalker fans – who had expressed their dissatisfaction with the bugs ij the game- to cheer up.

Still, GSC Game World didn’t end it there as they sought total perfection for the game till date. The next few hours, developer GSC Game World went ahead to release a second patch update for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Patch 1.1.1 helped fix a few issues causing PC players to crash when starting up the game after the release of update 1.1.

Two days after the massive Stalker 2 patch updates and fans have encountered another update from GSC Game World. Patch 1.1.2, released on December 21, has been reported to fix shader compilation issues, issues with loading saves, and issues involving crashes when exiting the game. All these are great fixes for Stalker 2 that would tremendously boost the game’s performance on all platforms. That said, GSC Game World included a new PC exclusive feature that automatically backs up saves with a duration of 4 days.

  • Fixed some issues with shader compilation being stuck, leading to infinite wait time or crash.
  • Fixed some issues with loading saves.
  • Fixed a crash, that occurred during exiting the game
  • Added the functionality of back-up saves, that will be saved and stored automatically and last for 4 days (For PC only).
