Thief Remaster

The Thief Remaster is something that many people need, even if they don’t know what Thief is. It is crazy that not many people played this legendary PC game. A trailer has revealed that this new version will include a huge campaign called The Tarnished Mirror, perhaps something that was meant to be in the original 90s version of the game but never really made the cut. It is crazy old games get this level of attention put into them, and it makes you wonder if there even is a point in following new releases anymore. Things are bleak like that nowadays.

Thief Remaster looks insane

It is amazing how much they managed to do with an old graphics engine by revamping it, not to mention they got the original artist from the 90s game attempting to recreate all scenes by hand. This shows that the people behind the game really love the things they do and care about quality and delivering something that matters. Which is a thing you don’t see in many parts of the industry nowadays, because more companies are focused on delivering quick shovel ware that is done in the shadiest ways possible, sometimes not even made by people.

The Thief Remaster is the remaster that other remasters should learn from, and I’m not afraid to say that this might be the best remaster we are getting in a very long time. This should be the golden standard, but I’m very sure that companies will keep squeezing things for profit instead of making something that is good and fun. Remakes are more popular, and breaking down classics for the masses seems to be all the rage, even Nintendo is partaking on that. Thankfully, some of the best creators of the 90s era on PC are doing what needs to be done with the Thief Remaster.
