Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is free from the Denuvo curse, a great thing because they are now pushing a new DLC for the game that will add tons of more content. We need more great games like what Capcom does, but we don’t want them to be tied to an always online DRM that can nuke your purchase if it feels like there’s something wrong with it. DRMs suck, and these corporations do not respect the ownership of our ideas either, not to mention that they also profit from the things they steal from us without us being aware of the injustice.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be preserved

One issue we face nowadays is obstruction in preservation goals, stuff like DRMs and always online games always give trouble to all of us. There is a ton of things that can be done to mitigate this however, but the fact that Capcom decided to remove Denuvo is a good thing and saves us from doing some work. Dragon’s Dogma 2 has some nasty mixed rating on Steam but it definitely feels like all of this was caused due to Denuvo, everyone hates Denuvo for a reason as it tends to ruin performance on older computers.

Another cool thing that this will enable is the ability to fully analyze the game and be able to create mods for it, modding is a great way to bring more replayability to the game and ensure that people can keep coming back to it while being creative. At the same time, considering Dark Arisen is coming as a DLC, more hours of official content will be dropping for this great game that had the unfortunate fate of dealing with Denuvo. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a very important game for Capcom, and it might be a series that they need to work upon more in the future.
