Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is coming, and it will also include online thanks to what the trailer shows. This is a very important game for Bandai Namco cause its one of Namco’s beloved series, I wonder how good this one will end up being. However, it is important to keep in mind that Denuvo is present in this release, along with a kernel anti-cheat that might prove to be problematic to many. I know that cheating is a bad thing, I hate it too, but going out of their way to get access to a PC with anti cheating software is extreme.
Ace Combat 8 coming soon
Releasing in October 1, Ace Combat 8 might be the biggest release the series ever got, it looks massive. I don’t think my PC can handle this one so I will be sitting it out. It is unfortunate, but games are unoptimized as hell nowadays, thankfully I can always come back to the older entries when things used to be great. The online mode is a very interesting proposition however, because it will even give us the opportunity to cooperate with other players. This inclusion is very smart because cooperative games are all the rage nowadays.
Not to mention that the game will be also compatible across any platform, so anyone playing on console can play with an user playing on PC. This is great, as there is no reason for games to not share compatibility with each other in this day and age, where computers are pretty much taking over and making consoles besides Nintendo’s offerings feel redundant. Sony’s destruction of physical media, along with Xbox insane attempts at doing something that stick are off putting to see to say the least, even pathetic. Thankfully the PC version of Ace Combat 8 will be there for us.
