AMC’s The Walking Dead is expanding its video game footprint once again with The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, an arcade-style beat ’em up set to launch on September 18, 2026. Developed by Odaclick Game Studio and published by Trailmark Games, the title will be available across PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. Rather than taking cues from Robert Kirkman’s original comic book run, the project explicitly bases its character designs, storylines, and overall presentation on the long-running television adaptation.
Set during the All Out War narrative arc, the game pits Alexandria’s survivors directly against Negan and his faction of Saviors, alongside the constant threat of roaming walker hordes. Players can control Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne from the start, with Negan himself unlocked later in the campaign. Graphically, Streets of Survival pairs pixel-art character sprites with low-polygon 3D environments reminiscent of late-1990s console releases, creating a distinctly retro aesthetic.
Despite belonging to a genre traditionally built on local and online multiplayer, Streets of Survival is strictly a single-player experience. The absence of cooperative play marks an unusual design choice for a side-scrolling brawler, particularly given the franchise’s core focus on group dynamics and team survival. Players execute combos, signature attacks, and environmental finishers entirely solo across its campaign stages.
The game carries a standard price tag of $19.99 USD on digital storefronts. Players interested in testing the combat mechanics and visual style ahead of the official release can currently access a playable demo on Steam.
