Developers behind No Man’s Sky and Palworld appear to be publicly testing the waters for a future crossover, following a playful exchange between studio figures on social media. The interaction kicked off when industry analyst Pirat_Nation shared an interview snippet with Bucky, Pocketpair’s head of publishing and communications. In the clip, Bucky noted that while Pocketpair frequently turns down guest-appearance requests, the team remains eager to collaborate with select major titles, explicitly naming No Man’s Sky alongside properties like Fortnite and ARK.
Taking the hint directly to Twitter, Bucky reached out to Hello Games founder Sean Murray using modified lyrics from Eminem’s classic track “Stan” to joke about unanswered messages. Murray picked up the bit, replying in character to complete the verse and signaling clear awareness of the interest from Pocketpair.
While neither studio has formally confirmed a project in active development, the exchange has reignited speculation across both player bases. Both titles have built massive player communities around open-world exploration, creature management, and continuous post-launch updates. Furthermore, both games share a history of overcoming early public scrutiny—No Man’s Sky through years of transformative free expansions, and Palworld by navigating heavy legal and creative comparisons to establish its own foothold in the survival genre.
Given that Palworld previously introduced space-themed content via meteorite events and No Man’s Sky has a history of high-profile crossovers—such as bringing Mass Effect‘s SSV Normandy into its universe—a joint event is far from improbable. For now, the banter serves as an intriguing gauge of public interest, but if community reactions are any indicator, both studios have a solid foundation should they choose to move from casual tweets to actual development.
