Gameloft has officially announced The Keepsake Sea, the next major paid expansion pass heading to Disney Dreamlight Valley. Revealed during the D23 presentation in Anaheim, the maritime update introduces a new ocean-focused storyline along with the arrival of Pirates of the Caribbean icon Captain Jack Sparrow.
The announcement comes after months of speculation surrounding Gameloft’s 2026 roadmap, following smaller content drops like July’s Honeyglow Woods pack. While the initial D23 teaser did not showcase active gameplay, it concluded with Jack Sparrow’s signature silhouette cast across a sandy shore. Gameloft has not yet detailed which additional characters will accompany him, though prior expansion releases suggest several new villagers will join the game’s roster alongside the pirate captain.
A full gameplay reveal stream is scheduled for October, setting up a planned expansion launch in November 2026. This release window places The Keepsake Sea roughly one year after the debut of the game’s previous major DLC, Wishblossom Ranch. The upcoming update will be available across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and iOS platforms.
Although Jack Sparrow represents the franchise’s first fully featured villager from Pirates of the Caribbean, elements of the series have existed within Disney Dreamlight Valley since late 2023. Gameloft previously released thematic furniture items and cosmetics, including the Cortes Chest and the Pirate Ship Chandelier, through the Enchanted Adventure update. Players looking to prepare their valleys ahead of November can already utilize these items to build out themed environments before the expansion launches later this fall.
