Prices for the upcoming Phantom Blade Zero’s Standard and Deluxe Editions have just been revealed, along with a new pre-order trailer that showcases the game’s unique combat system as well as some of it’s story elements. So if you haven’t already done so, check it out below:
The prices for the upcoming title are also pretty refreshing for a AAA game in 2026, as the Standard edition of Phantom Blade Zero costs $59.99 while the Deluxe edition is available for $69.99. With prices for games now approaching a whopping $100 for some titles in this year, the pricing for S-Game’s upcoming Soulslike is surprisingly friendly to all players which can genuinely increase interest for the game even further.
The pre-order trailer provides a new look at the game’s combat system which feels fast, fluid and highly satisfying, along with multiple enemy types and even a mini-boss. And although the game has the Soulslike DNA in it, it seems way more snappy and energetic which would make the moment-to-moment experience even more engaging and immersive.
Phantom Blade Zero is an upcoming Soulslike game with elements of RPG mechanics sprinkled in, which should make for a challenging and rewarding gameplay experience, and is slated to release on October 29 this year. The game was also showcased during the Playstation State of Play event in June, featuring it’s unique combat system along with enemy designs.
A State of Play focusing on Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for this month as well, which will feature an extensive deep dive (with nearly 20 minutes of whole-new gameplay) and will help you zero in on the upcoming action title, or not. The event will be broadcasted on August 17 at 7:00pm PT / 10:00pm ET | August 18 at 3:00am BST / 10:00am Beijing Time / 11:00am JST.
Besides the finesse-based combat, the upcoming Phantom Blade Zero also features a unique ‘Honor’ system where you can influence the game’s central narrative through your choices in a myriad of ways. The choices can also have a butterfly effect and heavily impact or even alter the main questline, which will result in huge amounts of replayability.
Hands-on previews of Phantom Blade Zero have suggested that it’s not an out-an-out Soulslike title but actually leans more toward action games like Stellar Blade which should be plenty exciting in many ways.
