Serious Sam: Shatterverse looks like a very important release for PC, especially if you are a fan of the long running series. However, this one comes with a twist, and we can already see it in trailers and descriptions of what we can expect. It will be released in August 31st and it will be quite the fun roguelite game to try out and also enjoy with friends in a cooperative way. Many people are voicing their discontent about this sudden shift to the series, but considering it was always quite the comedic franchise, it makes sense for it to have a wild change.

If you still are excited about this new entry with fresh mechanics and still the same premise of butt kicking monsters, you should really get your money ready by the end of this month. However, you should be aware that there is people who report the early tests show some issues, it really seems like a game that is not balanced in the right way. Some other people do mention that current tests are going better, but it still feels like there is no conclusive information on whether this entry is worth it or skip worthy.
I really hope that Serious Sam: Shatterverse shatters expectations, because its been quite a while since a new game dropped in the series. Of course, with the problem that modernization tends to bring to the table, it is smart and also healthy to keep expectations low. The industry is in quite the pickle now, as releases fumble in quality and things get even more expensive. At the very least, people can keep requesting to playtest the game and find if there’s anything weird with it, better save your money and not lament the loss later on.
