Developer Game Freak’s new action RPG Beast of Reincarnation has received mixed reviews upon release by various publications and outlets, which indicate the Soulslike variant as a less-than-stellar experience on many fronts. However, the devs have acknowledged the players’ feedback and have promised to make the overall experience significantly better on multiple levels, from technical adjustments to making improvements to the pacing of the story via a series of upcoming updates.
On Twitter/X, the devs have wrote the following:
“Thank you for playing Beast of Reincarnation! We take your feedback to heart and are currently planning a series of continuous updates.
Next Patch (targeted within a week)
- Camera adjustments
- Increased text size
- Story pacing improvements (ongoing adjustments planned)
- Changing the default setting from Cinematic to Performance mode
- Other bug fixes
*Please note that the contents of this patch are subject to change.”
The devs have also provided a feedback form where players can share their experience along with the issues they may be having in Beast of Reincarnation.
So even though the planned updates won’t likely bring about any fundamental change in the game, which can result in drastically improved gameplay, they can still deliver a more polished and smoother experience when playing Beast of Reincarnation.
The Standard Edition for Beast of Reincarnation costs $59.99 and the deluxe edition of the game is priced at $69.99 which is really generous for a title released in the current era of gaming for obvious reasons.
Here’s the official synapses of Beast of Reincarnation: “Set in a post-apocalyptic Japan, humanity’s only hope lies with Emma, an outcast shunned from society for her affliction, and Koo, the blighted dog. Together, they embark on this expansive adventure in this one-person, one-dog action RPG.”
Beast of Reincarnation was released on August 4 for the PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
