Pragmata 2 is pretty much into consideration, meanwhile Mega Man barely gets games despite being an IP that does not cost much to develop. We live in a crazy world where Capcom might rather wager on the sequel to something expensive than a beloved classic. It makes sense from a business standpoint, however, this has the potential to ruin the original game and the vision it had. Mega Man makes more sense as a franchise that can bring sales and also be developed with a very modest budget and quick yearly releases, alas we don’t see those happen. I’m just a Mega Man fan however, but I don’t wanna see Pragmata get ruined.
Pragmata 2 might become a thing
Hopefully it does not happen, because it would really hurt the series if things get out of control, of course, if they decide to make new characters for the sequel and keep the same rules of the world then it could potentially work. Sadly, considering how Capcom operates, they really hate keeping stuff that is evergreen, so we will see this one change and people won’t be complaining about that change as much as they should. Pragmata 2 might be a whole different beast, but it might also sell.
The original game is amazing, and it brings something truly new to gaming, if you are unsure on what to try out then there’s definitely a ton of good things you are missing if you didn’t play Pragmata. It has to be one of the best games Capcom made in years, and I’m very glad something fresh managed to take over the spotlight for a long while. Alas, I can already see a potential path of ruin provided things don’t end up panning out for Pragmata 2, and it would be better if the idea wasn’t even considered.
