Ubisoft is currently offering players on the Xbox platform free copies of several of their games on PC as part of Ubisoft and Xbox’ new expansion to their ongoing partnership. Which means if you own these titles on the Xbox platform, you’ll be able to get the PC versions of the same games for free, through Ubisoft Connect by August 4th. However, the reverse is not true which means if you already have some of these games on your PC, you won’t be getting them on the Xbox. Check out the full list of titles below:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Far Cry 6
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Riders Republic
- Skull and Bones
- The Crew 2
- The Crew Motorfest
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
If you have some of these titles on your Xbox, they will automatically appear in your Ubisoft Connect library by next week, as long as your accounts are linked. And even if you get some of these games on the Xbox later, you’ll also receive PC versions of these titles at no additional cost. The collection of games are certainly great but unfortunately, doesn’t mean much if you’re a PC gamer but if you’ve owned an Xbox console before and have decided to get into the PC, this will come across as a great offer.
So if you own an Xbox and plan to switch to PC gaming at some point, you can get PC versions of these titles for free.
These are part of Xbox’ initiative to make their platform more connected to the PC, as last week they also released several titles from the original Xbox on PC with added technical enhancements with more titles expected to be released in the near future.
Xbox is also going through a massive restructuring process that has resulted in mass layoffs and has seen a total of 1600 staff losing their jobs two weeks back and 3200 employees scheduled to be let go by the end of the current fiscal year.
