Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is just getting an amazing DLC that will end the ongoing Future Saga, this is huge for fans of the Xenoverse canon as it will finally conclude with what people have been waiting for years now. A trailer has been revealed showcasing what we can expect from this epic finale, and it is clear that there will be some very tough battles we will face. July 8th will be the day when this DLC pops up, and it will be something amazing to behold if you are a fan of the Dragon Ball franchise. However, I can’t help but feel that the DLC model is pretty egregious with this one.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga Ending
The fact that a big chunk of content in the game is locked behind a DLC paywall is egregious, not to mention that this one and other Sagas are cut into chapters that you have to pay for separately. In the end you pretty much end up wasting way more money on DLCs than in the base game itself, which leads you to think that maybe investing on this game isn’t an smart choice at all since base content might not be enough.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 always faced this issue, and it will be a surprise if Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 ends up fixing this somehow but I think it will double down on being predatory. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 could have been an amazing experience every fan of Dragon Ball could enjoy provided they didn’t nickle and dime us for more. Alas, here we are with an incomplete game that gets released in bits and pieces. At least the online servers are still on, but what will happen when the game has to go end of service? Nobody asks that question.
