If you’re currently enjoying Resident Evil Requiem, as are millions of players worldwide, you’ll be glad to know that Capcom’s smash hit also has multiple post-launch contents lined up to continue the same great experience which includes an upcoming mini-game along with a story DLC that’s set to release this year. And in a recent (translated) interview with Denfaminicogamer, Resident Evil Requiem director Akishi Nakanishi and producer Masato Kumazawa have shared the first details on the upcoming story DLC for the game which is the following:
“Regarding the additional story DLC, at this stage, I can only say that it is in production…I hope you look forward to it.”
“In an alternate timeline, RE9 would’ve come out in 2025, & the DLC for it would’ve come out in 2026 to bridge the gap between RE9 & Code Veronica Remake/Zero Remake, similar to Shadows of Rose RE8 DLC for RE8. It’s just due to RE9 getting delayed they’ll be close together.”
It seems the story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem may come out sometimes in the late 2026 or even get pushed in next year altogether and although the longer gap could be a bit hard to get through, the resulting content should be all the better for it, in all likelihood.
In the same interview, the devs have also hinted an imminent release for an upcoming Mini-Game for Resident Evil Requiem: “This mini-game is a content that is released by clearing the main story. Therefore, if there are people who will play it in the future, I think it will be just right to play if you clear it during Golden Week.”
The Golden Week is a national holiday period in Japan which takes place between April 29 and May 5 and that means the bonus content could be added to Requiem in only a few days.

Resident Evil Requiem has also garnered a sky-high score of 9.5 from players in Metacritic, which is among one of the highest rated videogames of all time and is on par with last year’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
