Developer Pearl Abyss has confirmed that Crimson Desert’s new patch will be out in next week and the studio is currently testing and polishing all of the new additions in the update which will also be much bigger than all of the earlier patches so far. Here’s what the studio has stated in terms of what the next patch will bring in Crimson Desert:

“We’re currently preparing our next update which will include several features mentioned in last week’s Dev Update notice, including the addition of a keyboard/mouse and controller preset, difficulty settings, category tabs for your inventory, and more. We want to take our time with testing and polishing things before we roll the patch out, which we expect to do sometime next week. Also, due to the distant scenery quality improvements we are adding in, this patch size will be larger than our previous ones. We hope you’re looking forward to this update, and thanks for your patience and support!”

Aside from the new refinements in the game’s control layout, the most exciting addition in the upcoming patch seems to be in the new difficulty setting, as Pearl Abyss has previously wrote: “A difficulty settings feature will be added so that everyone — from new Greymanes to the more advanced — can enjoy the adventure at the level that suits them best. You’ll be able to choose from easy, normal, and hard difficulty.”

Steadily shaping up to be one of the surefire hits of this year, Crimson Desert has recently reached another huge sales milestone as the open world action RPG is now confirmed to have sold a total of five million units in a single month with the numbers expected to grow even more in the coming weeks and months.

Crimson Desert also has a host of improvements and changes headed for all players between the months of April and June which will include the ability to replay all Boss battles that allows you to completely master all Bosses by figuring out and memorizing their moveset and other patterns. Another upcoming new feature is Re-blockading which lets enemies reclaim previously liberated locations so you can fight them again and have fun with Crimson Desert’s engaging combat.
